Ability to model and facilitate innovative digital-age work and learning experiences through the effective use of current and emerging tools to ensure success in a global and digital world whereby the teacher and learner locate, analyze, evaluate, manage, and report information as well as communicate and collaborate online fluently using a variety of technology-based media formats.
Facilitate and inspire student learning and creativity by providing a variety of learning environments that foster collaboration and innovative
thinking to solve real world issues and authentic problems using digital tools and resources.
Objectives 1 and 2 were met in the Web 2.0 Assignment in ED 505, Technology and Education, because of the online resources used in the creation of a Symbaloo Lesson Plan. The personal Symbaloo Lesson Plan I personally created connects literacy to physical education. Symbaloo Lesson Plan is a fantastic resource for all educators, from kindergarten to high school. These lesson plans can be used across multiple disciplines in a variety of ways. Teachers are able to upload videos, articles, pictures, songs, etc., which are a few examples I used in my own Symbaloo Lesson Plan. This is also a resource teachers can use to present personalized lessons in a gaming-style presentation and also add quiz questions to their presentations in order to assess student learning along the way. Additional online resources used to optimize student learning during this lesson (class) were Author's Purpose, Kahoot!, Socrative,Padlet, Prezi, youtube, Popplet, and Chatterpix.
